Minchin is actually very bright, a fact I can confirm having met her when she was presenting at a company conference a few years back. Very professional and confident, speaking in front of a few hundred pharmaceutical industry professionals.
Charlie Stayt is the one who seems to struggle to grasp much of what is being said by guests.
